I highly recommend the lamb chops and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his drunken noodles with tofu. Their dessert options are sizable and delightfully mouth watering. This was our first dining experience at Poor Calvin’s and it won’t he the last. Absolutely 5 stars all around ”

“ I absolutely love this place, I’ve dined there 3 years apart and both times the cocktails have blown me away, the service has been impeccable, the cuisine is creative and delicious and this last time Chef Calvin delivered our entrees himself. If you’re looking for a solid meal with great service in a unique setting, walk don’t run, to Poor Calvin’s. Special shout out to Andre our server who only had to ask a few easy questions about our flavor preferences and guided us through cocktail and non nom heaven. ”

“ Has become one of my top few must go restaurants in Atlanta. The bar service is phenomenal. You should have a reservation if coming on a busy evening. The shrimp dim sum was on special and is well worth trying out while it's available. The seafood Curry entree is top notch - all the seafood was perfectly cooked and great fusion curry flavor. When in Georgia try something Peach, so I tried the peach empanadas and was not disappointed. The bartenders are fantastic and I think every cocktail on the menu is probably excellent I tried the Jasmine Manhattan, Tom Yum cocktail and Rye by the Fire (off menu, basically a Rye old fashioned). I could order a pitcher of all three if they would let me. ”

“ Very delicious. Our waitress was great at working with food restrictions and explaining the different options. Loved the yellow curry with scallops! It was perfect. My partner had the sea bass entre and calamari appetizer and liked them a lot. I had one of the nightly special appetizers, pork skewers, yum! The interior space is small and eclectic. Tables are close but it’s loud inside so you don’t really hear other people’s conversations unless you try. Can’t wait to return! ”

“ So first off, kudos to Poor Calvin’s for securing additional FREE parking for their customers! That’s already a big win for them! Then the host, Griffin, was phenomenal and a fashion icon! The food was magnificent and the oxtail literally were falling off the bone. Their curry was so well-balanced and my steamed dumplings were perfection. Portion sizes left nothing to be desired...I ate that night and again the next night. Am I going back? Heck yeah! ”

“ Poor Calvin’s is one of the best tasting Asian food restaurants I have visited. A quant and beautiful decorated interior full bar along with outdoor seating as well. I started with one of their signature hand made cocktail and all their drinks are made with hand crafted ingredients. As an appetizer I had the devil eggs those were amazing. Then on to the main course lobster fried rice which was excellently cook to perfection (A must taste for those that visit this establishment) along with the crispy beef that was beautifully cooked tender and crispy mixed with vegetables and a light sauce also excellent (No soy sauce needed at all) just sure perfection. The staff was amazing, friendly and always at your service. Five stars from top to bottom. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu. This is food at its finest a must eat if you are in Downtown Atlanta. ”

“ Poor Calvin's was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The restaurant itself is an over 100 year old building tucked away in the city. The main parking lot is very small but they have commentary valet so no worries. As soon as you walk in Poor Calvin's you know you are in for a treat. With an elegant yet fun atmosphere the seating and environment is an intimate size with many tables for 2 sharing a long booth. The service was top notch with knowledgeable staff that know the history of the building, the story of Chef Calvin (who you may very well see helping and greeting in the restaurant), and the menu options top to bottom. My wife tried 3 different cocktails suggested by the waitress Linda (who was absolutely fantastic) and loved each and every one! The appetizers were perfect and timely. The main course was prepared to perfection with surprisingly large portions that honestly may have been big enough to share! Then the dessert was out of this world! We highly recommend Poor Calvin's for your next date night if you want to try something unique and wonderful! ”

The vibe? Magical. So chill and cozy, we didn’t even want to talk too much just wanted to soak it all in The food? OMG. Every bite was a masterpiece. I loved it so much I wanted to double my portion it was just that good. The flavors, the textures, the presentation... wow. Cocktails? Exquisite. Portions? Generous. Wait time between dishes?
